Good evening LCMS Families, this is Mr. Weidow Principal.

The health needs of our students change each school year.  Many of our students have food allergies. Our staff will be working diligently to ensure that all health information is promptly received by the school nurse when you submit your child’s clinic information and health history.

Therefore, to ensure that the school nurse has all updated information collected for each student, please be advised that: NO OUTSIDE FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL AND DISTRIBUTED TO OTHER STUDENTS FOR THE FIRST TWO AND A HALF WEEKS OF SCHOOL.  Schools will begin receiving outside food to be distributed to other students starting August 27th.  As a reminder, outside food must be store-bought, pre-packaged food items. The school nurse must be notified at least two days in advance of intent to bring outside food for distribution to other students.  You may visit our Louisa County Schools Pupil Personnel Services webpage to read about other important information regarding school health services and our outside food policy.

The school nurse would be glad to discuss the food policy or answers any questions you may have. Thank you in advance for your understanding.  We look forward to a healthy, safe, and productive year for your child!

Thank you and have a great evening!
