Good evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope you all have enjoyed a beautiful Sunday with family.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of September 14th - 18th.

This past Thursday and Friday, interim reports were sent home with students.  In addition, LCPS Virtual Academy student interims were mailed home this past Friday.  With the interims, we included an LCPS Virtual Counseling Opt-In Form.  Please review, sign, and return the form to the school as soon as possible.

We would like to thank all parents for supporting our FFA Fall Plant Sale.  As a reminder, plant pick up date will be Wednesday, September, 16th at the greenhouse behind the middle school.  Please contact Mrs. Shifflett by phone or email ([email protected]) for any questions regarding the sale.

On September 21st and 22nd, 7th grade blended model students will be receiving their hearing and vision screenings.  LCPS Virtual Academy students may receive a screening on September 16th, which is also picture day.  Parents of LCPS Virtual Academy students may contact Nurse Spencer ([email protected]) to sign up for a screening, or Mrs. Banning ([email protected]) to sign up for a picture time slot.  We thank the Lion’s Club for providing this service for our students.

Also, does your son/daughter still have a library book that has not been returned from last school year?  If so, please return to the library as soon as possible.

We want to remind all parents and students that the LCMS School Store is open and ready for your Fall orders.  Show that Bobcat Nation pride by purchasing school spirit apparel.  Orders will be shipped directly to your home.  You may access our school store on the LCMS webpage (https://lcms.lcps.k12.va.us/), or by following this link (https://rivannagearapparel-container.zoeysite.com/school-stores/louisa-county-middle-school).

Finally tonight, we will be having our Olweus Bullying Prevention lessons this week on Monday and Tuesday.  Students should report to their 4th-period teacher upon entry into the building and after picking up breakfast.  As a reminder, breakfast, lunch, and take-home meals are completely free for all students, for all of first semester.

As always, I thank you for your continued support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
