LCMS Weekly Update

Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your proud principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope that everyone has enjoyed a great weekend with family.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of March 21st.

This past Friday (18th), report cards for the third nine weeks were distributed to our face-to-face students, as Virtual Academy students’ reports cards were mailed home.

With students now into the final nine weeks of the academic year, I encourage all students and parents to continue to be in contact with teachers concerning academic progress.  I also encourage parents to utilize our Parent Portal information system to stay up to date on academic progress.

For our eighth-grade parents, guardians, and students, the writing SOL (Standards of Learning) test will take place this week.  Our face-to-face eighth-grade students will be taking the writing SOL test on March 22nd (writing prompt) and March 24th (multiple choice).  For our Virtual Academy students, the writing SOL test will take place on March 23rd (writing prompt) and March 25th (multiple choice).  If you have any questions, please contact a member of the admin team.

The Louisa County Arts Festival will be held this coming Saturday (26th) at Louisa County High School from 10:00am - 2:00pm.  Come out and see all of the amazing artwork from our students.  This year’s theme is African-American art.

Finally tonight, we wish our athletic teams that are in action this week the best of luck.

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your continued support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
