LCMS Bobcat Parents and Families,
Monday, September 15th will be a B Day.
Wear Red, White, and Blue on Wednesday, September 17th
Bobcat students and staff will wear red, white, and blue on Wednesday, September 17th for Constitution Day! Constitution Day became a national observance in 2004 when Senator Robert Byrd passed a bill designating September 17th as the day for citizens to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution and learn more about our founding document.
It has been wonderful to see our Bobcats’ creativity shine in the Patriotic Star Decorating Contest! Bobcats are also participating in a United States Constitution Video Competition by carefully watching Edpuzzle videos and answering questions. Winners will be selected based on how well students score and how many videos they complete!
Students have also been participating in United States Constitution Kahoot games! Winners will be chosen from the Bobcats with the highest scores! The competitions will close on Tuesday, September 16th at 3:00.
Remind your child to visit the
LCMS Student Start page and click the Constitution Day link to access the video competition and the Kahoot games!
Interim Reports Went Home on Friday
Interim reports were sent home with students on Friday, September 12th. Please review the report with your child and contact teachers with any questions or concerns. I also encourage you to frequently monitor your child’s academic progress by using the online PowerSchool Parent Portal where you are able to see the detailed grade book for each class, as well as attendance and tardy information. Working together, we can ensure your child’s growth and success!
School Pictures are Ready!
To order school pictures, log in to your account on
mylifetouch.com or create an account using your student's student ID number and Picture Day ID
: EVTQPCGZF.
All families can also log on and order a FREE Digital SmileSafe card. Read more about the Smilesafe program

Fall pictures are included in our annual yearbook, so students who did not have their picture taken are encouraged to participate in the makeup picture day, which will be on Monday, October 20th. There will also be an opportunity for those who ordered pictures to have their picture retaken on that day. The picture order or proof, which will arrive in the next few weeks, must be brought back on retake day for a student to have a retake.

Patriot’s Pen Writing Contest
This past week, students heard about the
Patriot’s Pen Writing Contest in social studies classes. The essay contest encourages young minds to examine America’s history, along with their own experiences in modern American society, by drafting a 300- to 400-word essay, expressing their views based on a patriotic theme chosen by the VFW Commander-in-Chief. Students interested in participating must submit their essay prepared on this year's theme, with a completed
2025-2026 entry form, to their local participating VFW Post. Applications must be turned in by midnight on October 31st.
