Good evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope you all have had a great Sunday and you are ready for another exciting week ahead.  We had an awesome week last week celebrating #Kindness week and also bringing awareness to social isolation.  Tonight, I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of September 28th - October 2nd.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, we will continue with our Olweus Bullying Prevention Lessons.  Students should report to their 4th-period class upon entry to the building and after picking up their free breakfast.  As a reminder, all meals (breakfast, lunch, and take home) are free for all of first semester for all students.

Also, on Monday and Tuesday of this week as a continuation of our “Start with Hello” initiative, we encourage all students to wear orange as we share activities related to bullying prevention and bullying awareness.

On Thursday and Friday of this week, we encourage all students to wear green in support of the Sandy Hook Community.  We will share activities with students to encourage them to reach out to others in need to provide supports and to maintain open lines of communication.

Finally, tonight, as we continue to work through our new models of instruction, I encourage parents/students to reach out to teachers, or administration, if we can be of assistance throughout this process.  It is imperative that students are remaining up to date on their assignments and meeting established deadlines.  Again, please know that we are here to support and assist you and your child in this process.

As always, I thank you for your continued support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!

Spirit Day:  Wear green in support of the Sandy Hook community

Activity:  Start a conversation with someone new today.
