Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, March 17th. Parent-teacher conferences will take place on Tuesday, March 21st from 3:45 to 7:00 for walk-in appointments. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to stay connected with your child’s teachers about your child’s academic progress.
Also, with parent-teacher conferences taking place, we will not have Extending Learning or Study Hall after school on Tuesday, March 21st.
Please review the LCPS Attendance Newsletter for March. As always, students should stay home when they are sick but should attend school when possible. Students who have 17 or more absences in a given year, whether they are excused or unexcused absences, are considered chronically absent and are subject to being retained. Send in or email absence notes to Mrs. Filer at LCMS if absences can be excused. Her email address is [email protected]. Students may need to attend after-school study hall sessions to reduce total absences. We hope to see our Bobcats at school each day ready to learn.
Bobcats – Do you love to perform? Maybe you belt out ballads, play an instrument, or dance? Perhaps you are a black belt in karate, love to make others laugh as a comedian, or are an amazing magician. We are looking for you! We are searching for entertainers who want to participate in the LCMS Talent Show! Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd in the LCMS forum. If you are interested in participating, pick up a permission slip from room 622 or the cafeteria and return it by Friday, March 17th. We look forward to seeing all the talented students here at LCMS!
Our annual LCPS Arts Festival will be on April 1st at LCHS from 10am-2pm. Join us for live music, student artwork, art activities, and food. More information will be coming in the near future!
Our LCMS American Heart Challenge has come to a close and our team raised $781.56! We extend a BIG thank you to our caring Bobcats! You are heart heroes!
It is hard to believe that it is already March! We are having such a great school year! If you have any questions, or if we can help in any way, please call our office at (540) 894-5457.
