Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope everyone has enjoyed a relaxing weekend with family.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of October 4th.

With safety being our top priority at TeamLCPS, I ask that students continue to perform self-screenings each morning before coming to school.  If your child is sick, feeling sick, or has been around someone who has been sick, it is best for them to stay at home.  We must continue to work together to ensure the safety of all.

If you have not already seen the video from Mr. Straley that debuted today, please take a moment to watch the video that highlights our various initiatives for the month of October, as we celebrate #Kindness month.  Please also see the emailed flyer.

The LCMS Book Fair continues to be in full swing.  Students are visiting the Book Fair during their English classes to make their selections and purchases.  As a note, this Friday (8th) the Book Fair will be concluding.

On October 7th, seventh-grade students will be receiving hearing and vision screenings.  We thank the Lion’s Club for providing this service for our students.  For our Virtual Academy students, a future date will be set up for hearing and vision screenings.  If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Spencer ([email protected]).

With the first nine weeks ending this Friday, I encourage all students and parents to continue to be in contact with teachers concerning academic progress.  Also, report cards will be coming out on October 15th.

We wish our athletic teams that are in action this week the best of luck and best of luck also to our music students who will be performing at the football game this Friday night.

Finally tonight, this is a reminder that October 11th is a teacher workday and students do not report to school.

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
