LCMS Principal Weekly Update for Sept. 12, 2021
Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation. This is your principal, Shaun Woody. I hope everyone has enjoyed a great weekend with family. I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of September 13th.
As we have just concluded our first interim of this academic year, accordingly, interim reports were given to students on Friday to bring home. In addition, for our Virtual Academy students, interims were mailed home this past Friday. Should you have questions about your child’s academic progress to date, please feel free to reach out to their teachers.
I want to remind parents/guardians that this Wednesday, September 15th, will be our first Asynchronous Learning Day of the school year (six of these days have been built into the school calendar). On Asynchronous Learning Days, students do not report to school. Instead, it is a day for our students to catch up on schoolwork and/or have the chance to participate in community service opportunities.
It is time to take school pictures! For our face-to-face students, picture day is September 23rd. Students will be receiving picture order forms this week, so be on the lookout. For our Virtual Academy students, picture day will be October 21st. More information to come in relation to Virtual Academy school pictures, including times, and the sign-up process.
Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation! I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457. Have a great night!
