LCMS Principal Weekly Update LogoGood Sunday evening Bobcat Nation and Happy Mother’s Day.  This is your proud principal, Shaun Woody.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of May 9th.

This Saturday (14th), we will be holding our Eighth-Grade Formal from 7:00pm - 10:00pm.  We are excited to celebrate our eighth-grade students and we look forward to an exciting evening, and “A Night Under the Stars”.

For our eighth-grade parents/guardians, and as a reminder, our Eighth Grade Promotion Ceremony is scheduled for May 26th at 8:30am.  Rehearsal will take place on May 25th, as all students will need to be at school by 7:55am to participate.  On the date of rehearsal, Virtual Academy students will report to the main office.  Parents/Guardians, please check your email, or visit our website (lcms.lcps.k12.va.us), for further details.

As we begin to look forward to the 2022 - 2023 academic year, for all of our rising seventh-grade parents/guardians, please review the emailed details in regards to immunizations.  The following are the immunization requirements for rising seventh and twelfth-grade students.

Seventh-grade requirements:

● A booster dose of TDAP vaccine.

● Two properly spaced doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY). The first dose shall be administered prior to entry to the seventh grade at 11 years or older.

● Two doses of properly spaced human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines for males and females. The first dose shall be administered before the child enters the seventh grade. (A parent or guardian has the right to decide if a child receives the HPV vaccine.)

Again, if your child will be in seventh or twelfth grade in 2022-2023, please review the emailed requirements and consult with your child’s physician regarding immunizations.  Documentation of immunizations is necessary and proof must be received before enrollment in school in August 2022.  The student will not be allowed to attend school if the student’s immunization record does not include the above requirements.  Please fax or drop off immunization records to Nurse Spencer by July 30th, 2022.  Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Nurse Spencer ([email protected]).

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your continued support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
