LCMS Principal All-Call for Sept. 9, 2021
Posted on 09/09/2021
Good Thursday evening Bobcat Nation. This is your principal, Shaun Woody. I am calling tonight to provide you with a few key reminders.
First, please keep in mind that this Friday, September 10th, will be our first #Kindness Day of the school year. We have provided all of our students with their #Kindness shirts and we encourage all students to wear their #Kindness shirts tomorrow in a display of unity and teamwork. Parents, thank you for your support of our #Kindness Days, and please join us as we spread kindness throughout not just our schools, but our entire community!
I also want to remind you that next Wednesday, September 15th, will be our first Asynchronous Learning Day of the school year (six of these days have been built into the school calendar). On Asynchronous Learning Days, students do not report to school. Instead, it is a day for our students to catch up on schoolwork and/or have the chance to participate in community service opportunities.
Accordingly, I want to make you aware of two community service projects we will be conducting in correlation with our Asynchronous Learning Day that all LCMS students are invited to participate in if they would like. These are voluntary initiatives for all students.
First, we will be installing several birdhouses at various locations throughout the county on September 15th from 1-3 p.m. These locations include the Betty Queen Center, Louisa County Health & Rehab, and Noble Senior Living in Louisa. These birdhouses will be a huge morale boost for residents and visitors at all of these locations. If your child would like to participate in this cause, please call the front office by September 13th to RSVP.
Additionally, we will also be hosting an LCMS Campus Beautification initiative on September 15th from 1-3 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to work with LCMS staff members to help brighten up our campus! If your child would like to participate in this cause, please call the front office by September 13th to RSVP.
We are excited about these initiatives because, at Louisa County Middle School, we value our community and take a tremendous amount of pride in our school buildings. We hope your student will join us as we brighten up our community and keep our campus nice and clean!
Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation! I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457. Have a great night!
