Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope you all have had a great weekend with family.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of December 7th.

As we near the end of the first semester grading period, I ask that students continue to perform self-screenings each morning before coming to school.  In addition, if your child is sick, feeling sick, or has been around someone who has been sick, it is best for them to stay at home.

As we draw closer to Winter Break, I encourage parents and students to be in constant communication with teachers on what is needed to successfully complete the first semester grading period.  Also, please continue to check in with your child’s teacher to make sure all assignments are completed.

This is a reminder for eighth-grade parents and students that Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School applications are due by December 11th.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Floyd for more information at [email protected].

Also, Bobcat Nation, get ready for Spirit Week coming the week of December 14th.  Spirit days will include Polar Express Day (14th), Winter Character Day (15th), Camo Day (16th), Winter Sports Day (17th), and Tacky Spirt Day (17th).  Please see the attached flyer for more information and we look forward to the week.

#TeamLCPS, as we draw closer to the Winter Break, we want you to know our amazing School Nutrition team is committed to providing your family with healthy and nutritious meals! We have posted details on our school website that outlines our revised meal schedule for the next couple of weeks, which will provide students with access to additional meals throughout the Holidays. Please take a moment to visit our website and check it out, and if you have any questions, please send an email to our Director of School Nutrition, Randy Herman, at the email address [email protected].

As always, I thank you for your continued support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
