LCMS Principal Weekly Update for Nov. 13, 2022
Bobcat Parents and Families,
Monday, November 14th will be a B day.
Friday, November 18th will be GREEN and GOLD day. Let’s show our Louisa spirit as we cheer on the Louisa Lions in the huge playoff game versus Salem at home in the Jungle on Friday evening!
The annual LCMS Stuff the Turkey Drive continues! Help support the Louisa Resource Council by bringing in non-perishable food items to Stuff the Turkey. Students can donate items in the grade level hallway bins in either the 6th grade wing or in the cafeteria. The Stuff the Turkey Drive will take place through November 18th. Accepted items include canned vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, applesauce, fruit cups, beans, canned soup, rice, granola bars, Pop-Tarts, and fruit snacks.
Applications for Blue Ridge Virtual Governor's School are available for 8th grade students. Applications can be completed
online or on paper. Please reach out to Mrs. Floyd at LCMS or Mr. Ryan at LCHS for more information.
The Virginia Association for Pupil Transportation is participating in the
National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest. Students in public schools across Virginia are invited to enter. The theme is Safely Rolling to My Destination. Completed poster designs must be postmarked by March 15, 2023. I can assist with mailing entries for any Bobcats who are interested in participating; students will just need to let me know they are planning to enter and then give me their submission ahead of the deadline. The details of the contest are posted on our LCMS website.
If you have any questions, or if we can help in any way, please call our office at (540) 894-5457.
