LCMS Principal Weekly Update for Sept. 6, 2021
Good Monday evening Bobcat Nation. This is your principal, Shaun Woody. I hope everyone has enjoyed a relaxing Labor Day weekend with family. I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of September 6th.
With safety being our top priority at TeamLCPS, I ask that students continue to perform self-screenings each morning before coming to school. If your child is sick, feeling sick, or has been around someone who has been sick, it is best for them to stay at home. We must continue to work together to ensure the safety of all.
Beginning this week, our middle school athletics teams begin competitions. We want to wish all of our student-athletes and coaches the best on a successful season.
Each year, the LCPS FFA hosts a Fall Plant Sale and that time has arrived once again! Please consider making a purchase and supporting our awesome FFA students and staff! To place an order by September 10th, please click here.
This Thursday, Bobcat Nation celebrates and honors Patriot Day. Patriot Day on September 11th honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent victims who died in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Each year Americans dedicate this day to remembering those who died and to the first responders who risked their own lives to save others. We encourage students, faculty, and staff to wear red, white, and blue on Thursday in honor of the day.
This Friday is our first TeamLCPS #Kindness Day of the year. We look forward to celebrating the kindness that our students show to each other, to our staff at Bobcat Nation, and throughout our amazing community.
Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation! I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457. Have a great night!
