LCMS Principal Weekly Update for Dec. 10, 2023
12/10/2023
LCMS Bobcat Parents and Families, Monday, December 11th will be a B Day. Clubs on Wednesday We will have clubs at the end of the day on Wednesday, December 13th! This is such an exciting time for our Bobcats where each student is involved in their unique activity, so we ask that parents and families avoid picking up students for an early dismissal after 2:15 if possible, since students will be in clubs. LCPS Holiday Spirit Week LCPS Holiday Spirit Week is this week! Each day, we'll have a unique theme to celebrate. On Monday, wear your favorite holiday shirt or dress like a holiday character. On Tuesday, wear your favorite holiday accessories. On Wednesday, wear your favorite holiday sweater. On Thursday, wear flannel or pajamas. On Friday, wear fun and festive holiday wear. Throughout the week, join in the fun, snap a selfie, and email it to [email protected]. Winners will be randomly selected each day to win a PRIZE! Friendship Bracelet Fundraiser The yearbook student staff will be selling friendship bracelets this week during lunch shifts! Bracelets are Louisa-themed and will be $2 each. They are perfect for green & gold spirit days or to give as gifts! In this holiday season, I would like to take a moment to extend warm wishes to you and your loved ones. The school year has been filled with learning, growth, and shared experiences, and now it's time to embrace the joy and warmth of the holidays. May this festive season bring you moments of happiness, laughter, and connection with family and friends. May you find time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories with those you hold dear. As we reflect on the past year, let's also look forward to new beginnings and opportunities in the coming year. Thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Your support, involvement, and commitment to your child's education make our middle school a vibrant and enriching place for all. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year! May it be filled with peace, prosperity, and the promise of exciting new adventures. Amanda Harper Principal Louisa County Middle School...

Our LCMS PHILOSOPHY

The faculty and staff of Louisa County Middle School assume the responsibility of meeting the developmental needs of children during the formative middle school years. The students are the focus of the entire educational process and teachers are the facilitators of learning.

Louisa County Middle School commits itself to providing a positive learning environment and learning experiences conducive to mastering the basic concepts necessary for continuous academic, social, and personal growth. We believe that student growth is dependent upon the cooperative and collaborative efforts of parents/guardians, staff, and the community.

Because of the ever-changing needs of our students, we anticipate the need for the continuous re-evaluation and revision of our total school program.

OUR LCMS MISSION

Our mission, as the faculty and staff of Louisa County Middle School, in collaboration with families and the community, is to be a world-class, forward-thinking middle school.  We will be the model of excellence in education for other middle schools in Virginia.  We will provide a safe, healthy, respectful, and positive learning environment where all students are able to achieve their maximum academic, social, and emotional potential.
