LCMS Update from Mrs. Harper: Oct. 11, 2022
Greetings Bobcat Families!
I’m contacting you today with an update for our upcoming #Rally4Kindness, which was scheduled for this Thursday. However, current forecasts are calling for a near 100% chance of rain throughout most of the day on Thursday. So, based on current forecasts calling for rain throughout the day on Thursday, our division-wide #Rally4Kindness has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 26th.
As a reminder, our #Rally4Kindness on Wednesday, October 26th will feature music, motivational speakers, games, prizes, and more! It is going to be an exciting event where we will create memories that will last for a lifetime. There is nothing more important for us to emphasize than kindness, and that’s our mission here at #TeamLCPS! We have posted complete details on our school website, so be sure to take a moment to check out that information.
Also, we experienced some confusion at LCMS today when some students thought that today was pajama day, so I want to let parents and families know that we are not currently having a spirit week this week at LCMS. Students should not wear pajamas unless there is a school-established spirit week. Students should be mindful to follow announcements made here at school and on our LCMS website. We are looking forward to a spirit week later this month, which students will hear about soon!
We are also looking forward to our after-school dance on Friday, October 14 until 5:30. Permission forms must be turned in by 1:20 (the end of lunch shifts) on Thursday, October 13. Registrations will not be accepted on the day of the dance. The $10 fee will include admission to the dance and one student admission to the LCHS Varsity home football game against Western Albermarle in the Jungle! Kickoff for the game will be at 7:30 and gates will open at 6:00. Parents/guardians will pick up students from the dance at 5:30 at the cafeteria entrance of LCMS, which is accessed in the side parking lot. Parking is limited in the side lot. You should park in the front lot and walk around to the side entrance, especially if you are staying for the football game. The football game ticket will be given to students when they are picked up from the dance. We are excited to have some social time with our Bobcats, followed by cheering on our Lions in the Jungle!
Thanks for your support, and have a great day!
