Transcript of the August 1, 2021 All-Call
Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation. This is your principal, Shaun Woody. I hope everyone has enjoyed a great Sunday with family. I am calling tonight with some information as we near the start of the new academic year on August 11th.
On the first day of school, students will be receiving an information packet within fourth-period classrooms that will contain relevant paperwork for the 2021-2022 academic year. We ask that you please be on the lookout for this packet, as there will be forms that will need to be returned by Friday, August 13th.
On August 6th, be on the lookout for a welcome letter and video emailed from your child’s teachers. In this video, teachers will give a tour of their classroom, review supply lists, and discuss other important items for the given class.
Beginning on August 16th, students will be able to begin taking Chromebooks home. Please note that until all relevant paperwork has been returned, students will not be able to take home a device. Therefore, as stated earlier, we request that all forms requiring signatures be returned by Friday, August 13th.
Throughout this academic year, virtual students will have access to select ebooks and audiobooks by accessing Destiny from the library's web page. Students who prefer physical books are welcome to call the library at (540) 894-5457 x2080, to place books on hold. Books placed on hold may be picked up during the school day, or by making other arrangements with the school librarians.
This Monday through Thursday, and again on August 9th, Louisa County Middle School Football will be holding a mini-camp from 3:30pm - 6:00pm. For more information, please check out your email, the LCMS homepage (lcms.lcps.k12.va.us), or our Facebook page. In addition, important information related to middle school cross country and girls middle school basketball will be on the same outlets.
Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!. I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457. Have a great night!
