Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope that everyone has had a great weekend with family.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of November 15th.

This past Friday, our face-to-face students received their interims within fourth-period classrooms.  In addition, Virtual Academy students had their interims mailed home this past week.  I encourage all students and parents to continue to be in contact with teachers concerning academic progress throughout the academic year.

This Wednesday (17th) is an Asynchronous Learning Day and students do not report to school.  The day is to serve as an opportunity for students to catch up on assignments and complete optional enrichment/5Cs activities.  Also on this day, Bobcat Nation students and staff will be participating in a voluntary community service activity as a way to give back to our amazing and supportive community.  For this community service project, we will be volunteering at the Louisa County Resource Council.  This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in a service project that benefits our community.

Students who wish to participate in this activity will meet at the stadium lot at 8:30 a.m. and will ride a school bus to the LC Resource Council.  All students who participate in the activity must ride the school bus.  Students will return to the stadium lot at noon.  Also, we will be providing students with lunch upon their return to the stadium, as students will need a ride home at noon as well.

If your student is interested in attending, please complete, sign, and return this permission slip to the LCMS main office no later than Tuesday, November 16th, 2021.  Permission slips are also available in the main office for student pick-up.

Our “Stuff the Turkey” campaign continues to be in full swing.  We have currently collected over 1,200 non-perishable, non-expired food items to support the Louisa County Resource Council.  Students may drop off donated items to their first-period teacher until November 19th.  Virtual Academy students may drop off items in a bin located outside of the main entrance doors.

Finally tonight, this is a reminder that November 24th - 26th is Fall Break and students do not report to school.

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
