Posted on 03/26/2023
Good evening, LCMS Bobcat Parents and Families,
Monday, March 27th will be a B day.
The LCHS varsity cheerleaders are holding a cheer clinic and try-out prep for current LCPS students in 6th-11th grades March 28th-31st from 6 pm-8 pm in the Louisa County High School small gym. The cost is $40 and all proceeds benefit LCHS cheer. No cheerleading experience is needed. Contact [email protected] to register, ask questions, or get more information!
8th grade Bobcats are invited to attend dinner and a 2-part workshop on “Making the Transition to High School: What Students and Parents Should Know” on Wednesday, March 29th from 5:00pm-7:30pm at Louisa County High School.
Our annual LCPS Arts Festival will be on Saturday, April 1st at Louisa County High School from 10am-2pm. Join us for live music, student artwork, art activities, and food!
We are getting closer to our division-wide Rally 4 Kindness! Our Rally 4 Kindness will take place on Tuesday, April 4th in The Jungle at Louisa County High School. Every student and staff member at LCPS will be coming together for this rally as we continue to promote kindness at Louisa County Public Schools. Our Rally 4 Kindness will feature games, music, prizes, secret guests, and a whole lot more! It’s going to be a LOT of fun! So don’t forget, our Rally 4 Kindness for students and staff is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4th.
Looking ahead, 8th grade students will take a SOL reading pilot test on Monday, April 3rd. We will have an alternate bell schedule that day and lunch shift times will be adjusted slightly. The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is developing a new assessment item type for the grade 8 SOL reading test to support the focus on integrating reading and writing instruction to build student literacy.
Families, we ask for your support in ensuring that your Bobcat brings their fully charged Chromebook to school each day. Having a desginated place at home to set the backpack and charge the Chromebook each evening can help ensure a smooth morning as they will be ready to grab and go!
Thank you, as always, for all of your support!
If you have any questions, or if we can help in any way, please call our office at (540) 894-5457.
