LCMS Bobcat Parents and Families,

Monday, March 20th will be an A day.

Eighth grade students will take the Writing SOL on Tuesday and Thursday, March 21st and 23rd. We will have an alternate bell schedule on those days and lunch shift times will be adjusted slightly. Parents, we ask for your support in ensuring that your child brings their fully charged Chromebook to school on test days (and every day). Also, proper rest the night before and a positive mindset are good test-taking strategies!

Report cards went home with students on Friday, March 17th. Parent-teacher conferences will take place on Tuesday, March 21st from 3:45 to 7:00. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to stop by LCMS and stay connected with your child’s teachers about your child’s academic progress.

Also, with parent-teacher conferences taking place, we will not have Extended Learning or Study Hall after school on Tuesday, March 21st.

Also on Tuesday, March 21st, our LCPS Career & Technical Education program is hosting CTE Showcase Night at Louisa County High School! The event will begin at 4 p.m., and elementary students will also be competing in the annual CTE STEAM Cup Challenge starting at 5! There will be student demonstrations, prize raffles, and for five dollars, you can schedule an oil change, haircut, or pick up a BBQ dinner! Visit for more information or to sign up for a service, but hurry because space is limited.

Our annual LCPS Arts Festival will be on Saturday, April 1st at LCHS from 10am-2pm. Join us for live music, student artwork, art activities, and food.

We are getting closer to our division-wide Rally 4 Kindness! Our Rally 4 Kindness will take place on Tuesday, April 4th in The Jungle at Louisa County High School. Every student and staff member at LCPS will be coming together for this rally as we continue to promote kindness at Louisa County Public Schools. Our Rally 4 Kindness will feature games, music, prizes, secret guests, and a whole lot more! It’s going to be a LOT of fun! So don’t forget, our Rally 4 Kindness for students and staff is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4th.
