Principal Weekly Update

Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your principal, Shaun Woody. I hope everyone has had a great weekend, enjoying the fall-like weather.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of September 27th.

With safety being our top priority at TeamLCPS, I ask that students continue to perform self-screenings each morning before coming to school.  If your child is sick, feeling sick, or has been around someone who has been sick, it is best for them to stay at home.  We must continue to work together to ensure the safety of all.

Our #Kindness days are back!  On Friday of this upcoming week, we will be wearing our “Kindness is Cool” t-shirts.  Let’s flood the hallways of LCMS with kindness and all participate.

In conjunction with #Kindness days, Bobcat Nation will also be celebrating our “Start with Hello” initiative this week.  “Start with Hello” is a campaign that came out of the Sandy Hook community to promote awareness of social isolation, bullying prevention, and encourage students to reach out to make connections with others.  We will be having announcements each day along with specific spirit days and activities to help promote these topics.  The specific themes for each day will be emailed and placed on the LCMS webpage (https://lcms.lcps.k12.va.us/).

We also wish our athletic teams that are in action this week the best of luck!

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
