Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation and Happy Halloween!  This is your principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope everyone is gearing up for some trick or treating.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of November 1st.

As a reminder, there is no school on Monday or Tuesday of this week.  Monday serves as a staff development day and Tuesday is a division holiday.  All students will return to the building, or virtual instruction, on Wednesday (3rd).

I would like to say thank you to our students who participated in the “Cans for Kindness” campaign last week to support the Louisa County Resource Council.  This initiative was held in conjunction with our ongoing LCMS “Stuff the Turkey” campaign where we will be collecting non-perishable, non-expired food items until November 19th.

On November 5th, our sixth-grade students will change to their third rotation within the Exploratory Wheel.  Students will be given updated class schedules during fourth period on November 5th to prepare for the change in their fifth-period class.  In addition, faculty/staff will ensure that students know the location of their new fifth-period class and assist in the hallways during the class change.

Parents/Guardians, if you are interested in joining the PTA, please email Mrs. Dawn Passero ([email protected]) to become a part an organization that works to strengthen the connection between home and school and to encourage family involvement.

Congratulations to our LCMS football team for being undefeated for the regular season.  The team plays in a championship game on Monday (November 1st) at 3:30pm in the Jungle.  Tickets are $6 each.

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!

The dates for winter sports tryouts are as follows:

Boys Basketball:

November 3: 8th graders

November 4: callbacks

Wrestling:

November 3, 4, 8, and 9.

*Students wishing to try out must have a VHSL physical on file.
