LCMS Bobcat Parents and Families,
Our school year is off to an amazing start, and we have another exciting week ahead!
Students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Math courses will take the SOL Math Growth Assessment on Tuesday, August 23. We will have an adjusted bell schedule on Tuesday to have a testing block in the morning. Students will go to their fourth period class upon arrival.
Friday is LCPS Green and Gold Day, so let’s show our Louisa Pride by decking out in our green and gold, Bobcats!
We hope to see our Bobcat families cheering on our Lions at the LCHS Varsity Football Home Opener vs. Huguenot in the Jungle this Friday night, August 26!
Our Weekly Math Challenge has kicked off! Every week, a new Math challenge will post to the Student Start Page. Students can complete the challenge correctly to be entered to win a prize! Prizes include gift cards, Make-Your-Own Goodie bags, WIN time in the Creation Station, snack coupons to the cafeteria, and much more!
Students need to bring their charged Chromebook to school every day. Parents and families, please support your child in establishing a routine for charging the device each night and ensuring that it is in their backpack each morning.
Remember that based on funding provided by the USDA, all LCPS students are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at school at no charge! No application is needed, and no further action is required. You may put money on your child’s lunch account to purchase items a la carte.
Visit our LCMS website to submit anonymous positive and encouraging messages to our Bobcats on our YouUplift Kindness eWall! We have continuously remained #1 in the Nation on the YouUplift Leaderboard for the most messages submitted. Let’s keep it up!
If you have any questions, or if we can help in any way, please call our office at (540) 894-5457. This is going to be our best year!
