Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, February 28th
Parent-teacher conferences will take place on Wednesday, February 28th from 3:45 to 7:00 p.m. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to stay connected with your child’s teachers about your child’s academic progress. Conferences play an important role in fostering collaboration, understanding, and support in your child's educational journey. We are eager to connect with you as we partner to provide the best possible middle school experience!
Also on Wednesday, February 28th, our LCPS Career & Technical Education program is hosting CTE Showcase Night at Louisa County High School from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and elementary students will be competing in the annual CTE STEAM Cup Challenge starting at 5:00 p.m.! There will be student demonstrations and prize raffles, and for five dollars, you can schedule an oil change or salon service, or pick up a $5 BBQ dinner while supplies last! Check out
www.lcpscte.org/showcase for more information and to sign up for services.
Clubs on Thursday, February 29th
We will have clubs at the end of the day on Thursday, February 29th! This is such an exciting time for our Bobcats where each student is involved in their unique activity, so we ask that parents and families avoid picking up students for an early dismissal after 2:15 if possible, since students will be in clubs.
Roadside Cleanup Community Service Project on Tuesday, March 5th
We will have an Asynchronous Learning Day on Tuesday, March 5th. LCMS Bobcat students and staff will be working together to clean up roadsides near our school! This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in a service project that benefits our community. Lunch will be provided in appreciation for students’ efforts! Please complete, sign, and return the
permission form to the LCMS main office by Wednesday, February 28th to participate!
American Heart Challenge
The LCMS Health/PE Department will conclude the American Heart Challenge this week! Students can still join by going to their Health/PE Google Classroom.
Please take a few minutes to register your student for our American Heart Challenge (AHC) under Louisa County Middle School and learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR as a family at
www.heart.org/schools. You can also join on the free app called “AHA Schools.”
Join or donate by Thursday, February 29th!
Students who complete the steps to Finn’s Mission will earn an entry for a chance to win two tickets to Super Bowl LIX in 2025, and our school will be eligible for a chance to win a $10,000 fitness equipment makeover for every 18 students who complete Finn’s Mission!
LCMS Talent Show
We are excited to announce the LCMS Talent Show to be held on Friday, April 26th at 6:00 p.m. This program will not be a competition but rather a sharing of our middle school students’ talents! Tryouts will take place on Tuesday, March 26th from 3:15-5:45 p.m. in the middle school forum. Please sign and return the
permission form by Friday, March 22nd for your child to participate in tryouts. Practices will take place after school on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, April 24th, 25th, and 26th. All participants must be able to attend practices leading up to the show. We are excited to see a showcase of our Bobcats’ talents!
