Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation.  This is your proud principal, Shaun Woody.  I hope that everyone has enjoyed a great weekend with family.  I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of February 28th.

Parents/Guardians, I want to thank you for ensuring that your child continues to perform self-screenings each morning.  If your child is experiencing COVID-like symptoms or has tested positive for COVID, please keep him or her at home and call the school to alert us.

Also, earlier today, Mr. Straley sent out an update concerning the latest CDC guidance, which was updated this past Friday.  Sent out via email this afternoon, this update is also posted on our school websites.  If, after reading, you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us.

Wednesday, March 9th, will serve as an Asynchronous Learning Day and students do not report to school.  The day is to serve as an opportunity for students to complete any assignments that are incomplete.  In addition, teachers may provide students with optional enrichment and 5Cs (Communication, Citizenship, Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration) activities on this day.

Also on this day, Bobcat Nation students and staff will be participating in a community service activity as a way to give back to our amazing and supportive community.  For this community service project, we will be working together to clean up roads within Louisa County.  This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in a service project that benefits our community.

Please see the emailed details.  If your student would like to participate, please complete, sign, and return the emailed permission slip to the LCMS main office no later than noon on Friday, March 4th, 2022.

It is time for our spring school pictures!  Picture day will be held on March 10th for all students, including our Virtual Academy students.

Bobcat Nation, it is time to join our school’s American Heart Challenge Team and complete “Finn’s Mission”.  This year we are going to “GLOW with HEART”!  Sign up your child to join our school team, complete the steps to “Finn’s Mission”, and be a hero for kids like our friend, Finn!  Click the emailed link to help your child join our team: http://www2.heart.org/goto/LouisaCountyMiddle.

Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation!  I thank you for your continued support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457.  Have a great night!
