LCMS Principal Weekly Update for Oct. 10, 2021
Good Sunday evening Bobcat Nation. This is your principal, Shaun Woody. I hope everyone has enjoyed a great weekend with family. I am calling tonight with a preview for the week of October 11th.
With the first nine weeks ending this past Friday, I encourage all students and parents to continue to be in contact with teachers concerning academic progress. Report cards for the first nine weeks will be coming out this Friday, October 15th.
This is a reminder that tomorrow, October 11th, is a teacher workday and students do not report to school.
As we continue with #Kindness month, this week we “Collect Coins for Kindness”. We encourage students, faculty, and staff to bring in coins to their fourth-period classroom for a friendly competition. All proceeds will be donated to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 Division.
October 20th is an Asynchronous Learning Day and students do not report to school. As we near our next Asynchronous Learning Day and continue to celebrate #Kindness month, we are planning for a big community service project. Bobcat Nation students and staff will be participating in a community service activity on Wednesday, October 20th as a way to give back to our amazing and supportive community. For this community service project, we will be working together to clean up roads within Louisa County. This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in a service project that benefits our community. Please see the emailed details and if your student is interested, please call or email Mrs. Banning to sign up ([email protected]).
Roadside Cleanup Details:
Arrival Time: Arrive at 8:15 a.m. - Stadium
Return to Stadium: Students will return at 11:30 a.m.
Parent Pick-up Time: Please pick up students no later than 12:00 p.m. at the Stadium

On October 21st, students will have the opportunity to take their make-up pictures. Also, the day will serve as an opportunity for our Virtual Academy students to take their school pictures. Virtual Academy school pictures will be taken from noon to 2:00pm on October 21st. Virtual Academy parents/students, please call the main office (540-894-5457), or email Mrs. Banning ([email protected]), to sign up for a time slot.
We wish our athletic teams that are in action this week the best of luck.
Excelling together, we are Bobcat Nation! I thank you for your support and cooperation. If we can assist in any way, please contact us at (540) 894-5457. Have a great night!
