Good evening, LCMS Bobcat Parents and Families,

Monday, August 28th will be a B Day.

We will have our first after school dance on Friday, September 1st until 5:30 for our Bobcats in grades 6, 7, and 8. Permission forms must be turned in by Thursday, August 31st. Registrations will not be accepted on the day of the dance. The $10 fee will include admission to the dance and one student admission to the LCHS Varsity home football game against Courtland in the Jungle! Kickoff for the game will be at 7:30 and gates will open at 6:00. Parents/guardians will pick up students from the dance beginning at 5:30 at the cafeteria entrance of LCMS, which is located on the side of the school. Parking is very limited in the side lot. Please use the Bus Garage Road entrance, park in the front lot, and walk around to the side entrance. We are excited to have some social time with our Bobcats, followed by cheering on our Lions in the Jungle!

As we continue to practice our emergency procedures in the first weeks of school and throughout the school year, we will have a Lockdown Drill this week.

Looking ahead, there will be no school on Monday, September 4th for the Labor Day holiday. I hope all of our Bobcats enjoy the day off!

We will have our LCMS Kindness Kickoff during the school day on Tuesday, September 5th! We will enjoy hearing from a trio of guest speakers. We will also have our first Olweus lesson (Bobcat Pride Time) of the year, and we will have Team Time with our grade levels! We will wear GREEN and GOLD to show our school spirit for the event. It will be an exciting day!

We will have an Asynchronous Learning Day on Wednesday, September 13th. LCMS Bobcat students and staff will be participating in community service activities as a way to give back to our supportive community. We will be volunteering at Louisa County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, the Louisa County Resource Council, Spring Oak Senior Living, and LCPS Food Service. This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in a service project that benefits our community. Please complete, sign, and return the permission form to the LCMS main office no later than Friday, September 1st.

If you have any questions, or if we can help in any way, please call our office at (540) 894-5457.
